The BG Electrical WP55ARCD?02 Nexus Storm fused connection unit is a robust, weatherproof solution designed to provide safe electrical isolation and RCD protection for fixed appliances in outdoor and exposed environments. Rated to IP66 when the cover is closed, this unit offers excellent resistance to water and dust ingress, making it ideal for exterior installations.
Combining a switched fused spur with integrated RCD protection, the WP55ARCD?02 enhances electrical safety by protecting against residual current faults while also providing over?current protection via a fused supply. This makes it particularly suitable for hard?wired outdoor equipment where additional protection is required.
The WP55ARCD?02 features a latching (passive) Type?A RCD mechanism, ensuring the unit returns to its previous state after a power interruption. A 30?mA trip current and fast response time enhance user safety in environments where exposure to moisture increases electrical risk. The IP66?rated enclosure protects the internal components from harsh weather conditions.
Designed with professional installers in mind, the WP55ARCD?02 benefits from BG Electrical?s fast?fix construction with no separate screw covers and up to 150? rotation for easier fitting. A hinged front cover provides convenient access to the fuse, while angled, colour?coded terminals with captive screws allow quick and secure wiring.
Multiple cable entry knock?outs provide flexible installation options, and twin earth terminals are included as standard for high?integrity circuits.
